Your day-to-day at the Waldorf Astoria and Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek?

I handle the leisure part of the Sales Department which includes International Sales targeting Royalty Families worldwide & Entertainment groups.

I work with a professional team proudly I call my Family, and together we make the entire Sales team. We visit our key accounts and keep in touch with our clients and group contacts to strengthen the relationship and partner with them to solicit new accounts and potential clients. We also participate in road shows and conventions where we visit new targeted clients with great potential for our market. We continue to develop new relationships and expand in the market and create awareness about the latest updates our resorts offer for our partners and leisure clients.

I work on site at the hotels, I keep checking on my clients and key accounts in house, while I research new potential clients and future dates for leads and requests from our partners. We are a team of three people including our director who is my mentor and then our assistant who is our day keeper and always keeps us up to date with our busy schedules.

I travel on average once a month and to different locations depending on where we need to be and the right time to meet potential clients and new accounts. In the past year locations varied to different parts of the world including Canada, Dubai, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and of course multi cities in the US as New York and Los Angeles.

What skills do you consider important/mandatory for your position?

Attention to details, wowing our clients, great listening skills and the ability to speak different languages.

What do you like the most about your job?

I enjoy drawing smiles on people’s faces and witness the joy and happiness they experience when they visit.

Meeting new people from different backgrounds and cultures.

Your best achievement or memory since graduation?

“Where’s Shadi” Event held at the Hilton Bonnet Creek in January 2012, where I represented the Hilton in the Walt Disney World Marathon with over 30,000 participants from all over the world.

And your worst?

Hmmm.. Well memories will always be memories, what doesn’t kill you make you stronger, so no bad memories for me.
