This is Assaggia, a vibrant and comfortable oasis of fine food and conviviality. A journey into typical regional cooking, in search of age-old customs. A unique sensory experience in which tradition and culinary modernity come together.
The restaurant’s distinctive feature is its “tastes” – a completely original way to enjoy typical traditional dishes in a selection of small plates. The starting point is our grandmothers’ recipes, and all the emotions and memories they evoke. Long-ago flavours and aromas, a lost authenticity, and the cycle of seasons are transformed into modern dishes, without losing sight of their masterful simplicity.
With a selection of the finest seasonal products, Assaggia offers its guests two types of tasting menus: 6 or 9 small plates.
The authentic recipes of the Roman tradition take centre stage, to be savoured with an eye to modern enjoyment. Every dish on the menu has been reconceived with a contemporary flair by Michelin-starred chef Angelo Troiani.
