Job description

Our Chef de Partie are the superstars of our kitchen and hotel! Entrusted with leading a section of the kitchen as well as training and developing Demi Chef de Partie’s and Commis Chefs to exceed guest satisfaction.

Though skillfully trained, they never lose sight of their ultimate reasonability, to create lifelong memories for our guests.


A day in the life of our Chef de Partie demands high levels of energy. They need consistency even though the days are never alike; and creativity to tackle daily adventures. Listing all of the contributions that our Chef de Partie accomplish would be lengthy but the list below is essential to know.

  • Our Chef de Partie are responsible in leading a section of the kitchen to exceed guest satisfaction during their day. This will include supervising and leading a team of Commis Chefs and Apprentices; sampling, smelling and observing food as well as taking orders from the Sous Chef and delegating them to Demi’s & Commis Chefs and check that they are carried out in the correct manner all to ensure our guests receives nothing but the best experience.
  • Sometimes our guests have special requests involving dietary restrictions, off-menu requests and even special occasions. Most of these requests are fulfilled by our Chef de Partie.
  • Our values of Personality, Passion, Respect, Working Together and Creativity guide us each and every day. The purpose of Chef de Partie is to live their behaviours to continue to create our legacy.
  • Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. Our Chef de Partie must communicate with other departments and extended hotel team in order to ensure the alignment remains.

Requirements

45 Park Lane - Dorchester Collection

Dorchester Collection’s 45 Park Lane in exclusive Mayfair, London opened in September 2011 with Wolfgang Puck’s first venture in Europe, CUT at 45 Park Lane. Throughout the hotel, luxurious and contemporary interiors by New York based designer, Thierry Despont, provide a club-like feel. The chic hotel will offers London’s in-crowd and the most seasoned of jetsetters a smart but discreet hotel from which to enjoy London.
