Job Description

The Multi-hotel Revenue Manager is responsible for the implementation of multi-brand RM methods in a dedicated region in order to maximize the turnover in accordance with brand’s marketing, country, area, hotel strategies and customer’s needs. A multi-hotel site is a group of 2 to 5 (multi-branded) Accor hotels.


He/ She is responsible for having all the revenue management processes in place in his/her perimeter, he/she implements the GM’s strategy on daily basis, updates planning, quotes groups and alerts GM, when market deviates from strategy.

 

He/ she is in charge of helping the hotels to reach and beat their operational turnover budget.




Work Experience

Tasks and responsibilities

Collection

  • Communication of processes to follow in terms of booking quality, toward the reservation and front office team of the hotel;
  • Regular checking of completeness and quality of data (correct segmentation, denials tracking, etc);
  • Communication to the hotels about correct data input into the PMS systems;
  • Updating the event database (e.g. in RMS).

 

Analysis 

  • Analysis of hotel performance in the RMS as a basis for strategy decisions;
  • Monthly analysis of the results, by day of week, day type, segments and comparison with competitors (benchmark);
  • Analysis before contract renewals (price, allotments, number of rooms sold, etc);
  • Observation of the market/ the competitors in terms of pricing and closed dates with the help of Price Trackers, as a basis for future pricing strategies.

 

Decision 

  • Provide proposals for the adaptation of the long-term and short-term hotel strategy (day types, ideal mix, RML ranking, price points, triggers, sales conditions, etc) on the basis of the analysis done previously; 
  • Optimal distribution of large volume requests (Business and Leisure Groups) into the same hotels on the market place; calculate availability and minimum rate for the requests by using group quotation;
  • Providing dynamic forecasts, compared to the strategy of the GM and budget;
  • Support in the preparation of the annual revenue budget.


Recommendation 

  • Consulting the recommendations daily;
  • Implement the strategy in inventory and distribution tools; 
  • Implement and communicate on:

minimum stay,

closed to arrival,

room category up-selling;

  • Recommendation for strategy changes in the revenue management systems, in relation to day types, ideal mix, close limits, booking limits, to be able to react early to guest behaviour changes (new events, cancelled conferences, etc);
  • Optimization of the distribution channels.


 Evaluation 

  • Monthly analysis of the results in terms of internal and external indicators (RevPAR and market share), in order to react in time;
  • Regular check of the implementation of the defined strategies (brand, place, hotel).

Experience and background:

  • A clear understanding of hotel industry is necessary as well as analytical capabilities, experience in study cases, market research and studies with mathematical background
  • Knowledge of the concepts and evaluation of market analysis processes

Revenue Management System (Amadeus RMS, EZ RMS)

 

  • Technologies and distribution tools

PMS (Opera, Fidelio V7, FOLS, Hogatex Starlight, Hotix)

CRS (TARS data and resa main screens) and distribution channels

  • Communication skills

Local language and English good level

Initial education & Working experiences 

Requirements:

  • Degree in hotel education in management, or general school in Business
  • Knowledge of the concepts and evaluation of market analysis processes
