Job Title:

Sofitel New York is looking for a self-motivated, up and coming hospitality professional to join our dynamic sales team as a Sales Coordinator. The Sales & Marketing Coordinator will support the Director of Sales and Marketing and Sales Managers with all aspects related to the sales process and providing exceptional service to our clients and guests.

What you will be doing:

The Sales & Marketing Coordinator is responsible for assisting group sellers with all aspects of servicing groups and ensuring client satisfaction. Preparation of gift certificates, answering phones and general emails, VIP amenities, checking and updating reservations for Business Travel sellers may also be included in responsibilities. This position also includes supporting the Director of Sales and Marketing with general office administration, light marketing projects, and vendor management. Your experience and skills include:

Candidate must possess a minimum of two years of hotel experience, luxury hotel background preferred. Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel required and additional experience in Delphi, Opera, Lanyon, Cvent and Starcite preferred. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, strong communication skills and a desire to meet and exceed expectations.  Candidate must be organized, be a team player, have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.  Assist with additional projects or requests as needed.  Second language preferred.
