Job Description

Our luxurious downtown hotel is a real architectural star in the place where skyscrapers were invented.  Guests are invited to discover the finest of everything in the Windy City at our downtown Chicago hotel.  Our unique hotel designed by French architect Jean-Paul Viguier is a 32-floor prism of glass featuring stunning views of Lake Michigan and Chicago skyline.

Sous Chef

A special occasion calls for great food!  As a Sous Chef, you will lead a team of culinary professionals in creating spectacular dishes that will create memorable dining experiences for our guests.

What you will be doing:

  • Ensure consistency in the preparation of all food items for a la carte and/or buffet menus according to property recipes and standards
  • Actively share ideas and suggestions to improve the dining experience and menus
  • Lead, mentor and train the culinary team, creating an engaged work environment.

 

Your experience and skills include:

  • Service focused personality is essential and previous leadership experience preferred
  • Well-rounded experience in all areas of the culinary field
  • Work well under pressure and be able to think on your feet
  • Ability to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performance
  • One to two years of management or supervisory experience in a similar role.
