Savoy Placement Programme (Food & Beverage)

Our Savoy Placement Programme is designed for students studying in hospitality related courses offering them an opportunity to be placed into entry level positions for a period of 6 to 12 months. The students rotate through different outlets of a division to gain in depth knowledge of the area they may want to specialize in. We offer opportunities within the Food & Beverage divisions.

Summary of Responsibilities: Throughout the programme, Savoy Placement Programme Participants responsibilities and essential job functions will change dependant on the department they are placed in throughout their rotations. The rotations include but are not limited to the following:



Food & Beverage – In Room Dining Server
Food & Beverage – Events Server
Food & Beverage – Thames Foyer Server/Hostess
Food & Beverage – Kaspar’s restaurant Server
Food & Beverage - Simpson's restaurant Server

About you

Qualifications:
Must possess outstanding guest services skills, professional presentation and sophisticated interpersonal skills
Models the Fairmont values of Respect, Integrity, Teamwork & Empowerment
Highly motivated and guest driven with the ability to solve problems and to make timely guest service decisions
Proactive with a demonstrated eye for detail
Excellent communication skill, both written and verbal
Able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment
Must be flexible in terms of working hours
Computer skills - Word, Excel and MS Office software required, Property Manager an asset
Strong command of the English language both written and spoken
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in the UK. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining UK work authorization.
