The Marketing Operations Director will be responsible for building out the Marketing Operations Function within Airbnb, with a focus on Financial and Business Operations. This is the perfect role for someone with an analytical mind and a passion for developing and optimizing clear processes and frameworks to allow a creative marketing team to focus on doing their best work.

This role requires an analytical mind, a passion for process setting and a deep appreciation for the role creative and marketing play in connecting the Airbnb brand with its audience in impactful and meaningful ways, thus fueling the business for the long term.

The Difference You Will Make:

Airbnb is looking for a senior Marketing Operations lead with deep experience in business strategy and budget management to optimize, build and oversee OKRs, budgets and measurement frameworks and processes for the scaling Marketing Organization.

Candidates must demonstrate passion and deep experience in working at the intersection of strategy and creativity - an understanding for the need for rigorous budget and OKR setting, optimizing and tracking as well as a passion for and understanding around how creatively guided brands and organizations operate.

A Typical Day:

  • Key role in setting annual budgets and OKRs in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Tracking and reporting on OKRs and Budgets - establishing a clear cadence, process and visual dashboards
  • Building measurement frameworks and processes around reporting/ sharing out key KPIs consistently across the team and capturing learnings and insights across the team, fueling a learning culture and an ongoing focus on optimization of discipline specific and cross-functional processes & workflows
  • Aiding in building business frameworks for HC asks/ reviews, incremental budget requests and shifts based on clear business prioritization and cost/ benefit analysis


Your Expertise:

  • Annual budget setting, ongoing budget oversight (working/ non working) with FP&A and other stakeholders across production, marketing, media, growth
  • Goal Tracking, Reporting
  • Establishing and optimizing Measurement frameworks (in partnership with key stakeholders across core marketing functions & FP&A)
  • Experience in managing/ building narratives to aid Prioritization/ Business cases / frameworks
  • Identify organizational barriers and build processes and tools to overcome those
  • Strong presentation skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience in building narrative/ presentations with both finance and marketing audiences in mind
  • You have a background in business consulting as well as functional/ operational experience within a global marketing organization, ideally in technology or consumer brands.
  • 15+ years of experience in a consulting capacity and/ or global marketing operations
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to break down complex information and create simple and visual narratives
  • Experience in stakeholder management across a number of key marketing disciplines and with FP&A
  • Comfortable establishing systems, experience developing processes where little exists
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills


How We'll Take Care of You:

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base pay for this role is between $215,000 and $270,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.

Your Location:

You will be US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsite events, as agreed to with your manager. Airbnb,Inc. can employ in states where we have registered entities. Currently, employees can not be located in: Alaska, Indiana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Delaware and Rhode Island.
