This role supports management by taking a leadership role within the therapist team, ensuring consistency and excellence in service.
The position has an hourly compensation rate of $16.00 + commission.

The Lead Therapist with 730 Crown Spa LLC at Aman New York is responsible for exceeding guest expectations by delivering efficient and courteous spa and wellness services in line with company standards. This role supports management by taking a leadership role within the therapist team, ensuring consistency and excellence in service.
The position has an hourly compensation rate of $16.00 + commission.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Training
- Conduct training for all treatments, including massages, facials, wraps, treatment additions and any other services provided by 730 Crown Spa.
- Conduct on going trainings for all therapists. Ensure all therapists stay up to date with the latest treatment knowledge and any updates on services.
- Assist with supplier training, including Maroc Maroc and Aman Essentials.
- Collaborate with Operations Managers to develop an educational program to raise awareness for colleagues within the hotel.
- Maintain and update the treatment training log monthly following scheduled trainings.
- Create and update monthly training plans in collaboration with management.
- Conduct Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) training with therapists to ensure consistency within the spa treatments team.
- Develop new promotions in collaboration with management.
- Keep the therapists informed of new spa promotions.
- Partner with Operations Manager to conduct therapist performance reviews.
- Participate in therapists’ onboarding, meeting new hires to review the spa colleague handbook and set up new hires with their training plans.
- Hold ongoing one-on-one meetings with therapists to provide feedback and support.
Operations
- Assist in the creation of treatment room standards, checklists, and supporting documentation.
- Review treatment room checklists to ensure they are completed and up to date.
- Coordinate therapist schedules to accommodate guests with special needs or requests.
- Verify that all treatments in Book4Time are aligned with therapists' responsibilities.
- Create and enter the therapist roster in Book4Time on a monthly basis.
- Oversee back-of-house operations, including treatment rooms and preparation areas.
- Conduct room checks, including closets, and maintenance of equipment.
- Update therapists' task lists and ensure their completion and accuracy.
- Report any maintenance issues in spa general areas, treatment rooms and treatment equipment.
- Attend monthly planning meetings with Spa Operation Managers to review previous and upcoming training plans, therapist performance, and upcoming schedules.
- Participate and facilitate monthly spa staff meetings, updating the team on any issues and changes.
- Conduct therapist meetings in collaboration with management to discuss SOPs, treatments, training plans, team concerns as well as any ongoing issues or “glitches.”
- Conduct quarterly one-on-one meetings with therapists to provide feedback and discuss any challenges or concerns.
Inventory
- Perform weekly and monthly stock checks of spa products.
- Conduct bi-monthly inventory of all professional spa products.
- Ensure proper storage and stock rotation of all spa products.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a luxury hotel environment.
- National/state-recognized massage therapist and/or esthetician certification.
- Basic computer and typing skills.
- Positive, engaging, and energetic personality.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and work with minimal supervision.
- High attention to detail.
- Sensitivity to cultural nuances.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with various stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain a clean and professional appearance as per company policies.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to carry, push, and pull heavy loads up to 20 lbs; standing, bending and lifting will be required.
- Multilingual abilities are preferred.
