As an Events Executive at Andaz London Liverpool Street, you are responsible for the selling of both group and event bookings. These groups & events range in size from small bookings for 4 guests to large residential groups of 250 people. Your tasks include but are not limited to:  

 

· You take the initial enquiry from the client or agent, be that on the phone, via email or from another channel and fully qualify the business to ensure you understand the client’s needs whilst making sure the business is a good fit for our hotel.

 

· You negotiate on bookings and arrange site visits with the client to further sell the benefits of Andaz. Site visits are a huge part of what you do and you try to personalise them as much as you can so that the experiences are as unique as the Andaz.

 

· You need to continuously build on client relationships while keeping with the hotels culture and approach to maintain a high level of client loyalty.

 

· You provide assistance to our Groups Sales Manager during the enquiry process to ensure they can accurately draw up reports and I also work very closely with the event planners who I hand the bookings over to once I have a signed contract from the client.

 

Confirming bookings and building relationships with the clients are what keeps you motivated to hit our team’s revenue targets.

 

A huge part of the role is working closely with other departments in the hotel. Of course, you work very closely with the Event Sales and Operations team but we also liaise with Front Office, Housekeeping and the restaurants on a regular basis to ensure that all details regarding groups, events and site visits are communicated thoroughly.

 

Our ideal candidate has the ability to multitask as there are always a number of different things happening at the same time; a good eye for detail also helps with this as does the ability to work to deadlines, targets and under pressure. You are a great communicator as  it’s important to actively listen and identify appropriate messages and delivery methods to effectively influence others; this applies to external clients as well as colleagues within the property.
