The company

In the heart of historic Prague, right below Prague Castle and just steps away from Charles Bridge, is placed a still active Augustinian Monastery, a part of the Augustine, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Prague, which for many years has kept the stories of Augustinian monks alive to preserve their story dating back to 14th century.
The complex made of seven historical buildings houses 101 individually furnished contemporary rooms and suites in various categories including 4 iconic signature suites that have been designed by Olga Polizzi to incorporate the iconic character of the spaces they inhabit.
700 years of history and continuous relationship with the monastery make Augustine a unique place for captivating events. Summer lends itself celebrations in the tranquil Sundial Garden. The area is supremely adaptable whether guests are looking for romantic dining experience or sip cocktails during a special event. Another authentic part of the property is St. Thomas Brewery which was founded in 1358 as the brewery of Augustinian monks. Evocative design presents itself also in the Refectory. Its double vaulted ceiling with carefully restored baroque frescoes makes the bar a place with an incomparable atmosphere. The cloistered interior of the hotel provides a serene setting for guests to enjoy the hotel’s culinary dining options, exquisite cocktails or signature St. Thomas beer, first brewed by monks in 14th century.
