POSITION SUMMARY / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Strives to meet the target cost of sales for the operation as determined by the
company budgets.
- Ensures that all company beverage service standards and sequences of service
are being followed and adhered to by the staff.
- Monitors and adjusts the schedules for the staff, in close coordination with the
Director of F&B, in order to meet demand and guest service expectations.
- To ensure sanitary conditions according to Health codes and Resort standards.
- To advise and consult with the Director of F&B / F&B Manager on all matters
pertaining to the Bar operation.
- To define training needs and set-up training programs. Continuously trains the
team to achieve highest professionalism.
- To ensure correct handling of equipment to minimize breakages and losses.
- To participate in any Training/Developments schemes as recommended by
senior management.
- To inspect all areas daily before opening according to fixed standard checklist.
- To enforce and maintain all policies and procedures.
- To approve requisitions for beverages, condiments, general supplies and guest
supplies, taking into consideration established par stocks.
- To participate actively in the creation of new drinks, snacks, food menu and
improve presentations to achieve the overall objective.
- To handle and record all complaints related to the Bar personally and inform
the Food & Beverage Office.
- To maintain standards specification for all beverages and food products.
- Responsible for the hygienic appearance and grooming standards of all staff.
- To inspect all fridges and bar stores to check expiry dates on all items.
- To observe opening and closing hours of the bars according to the law and
company standards.
- To implement and maintain full database for the Bar separately from the Food
& Beverage or Resort database in coordination with marketing
communications.
- To ensure proper control at all times of music standards, sound and lighting
levels.
- To perform any other duties assigned by Food & Beverage.
- To have a complete understanding of and to adhere to Ayada Maldives policy
relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
- Be familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the
relevant Operational Standards Manual for the department.

About you

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum requirement of two years’ experience as a Bar Manager for a multi-
outlet food and beverage operation or previous experience in the same
position in luxury resort/hotel.
- Minimum of one year managerial experience in handling multiple bars and
lounges with different themes and menus is required.
- Proven ability to manage and direct multinational and/or multicultural bar
brigade is required
- Minimum of one year experience with a responsibility of meeting and
exceeding revenue targets, industry service standards and guest satisfaction
results is required.
- Extensive knowledge of beverage and wine products is required.
Intermediate to Advanced ability to read, write and effectively communicate in -- English is required; and other languages are preferred.

EDUCATION
- High school diploma or foreign equivalent is required.
- Hospitality School degree, Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in a
hospitality-related field is preferred.
- Courses in safety, environmental, public health and sanitation regulations and
procedures from a recognized educational institution are required.
- Proof of continuing education translated in certificates or letters of
participation in professional beverage courses and seminars is required.
