The company

Led by restaurateurs Sam and James Hart and Crispin Somerville, Harts Group is the London-based restaurant group behind Barrafina, Quo Vadis, El Pastor and The Drop. Sam and Eddie Hart, who together founded Barrafina and took over Quo Vadis, were named Best Restaurateurs in the GQ Food and Drink Awards 2017 and Restaurateur of the Year – Independent in 2016.

El Pastor opened in Borough in 2016. The taqueria serves Mexican dishes with a focus on tortillas made from scratch in house every day. From Sam and James Hart and Crispin Somerville, the name is taken from the mighty ‘al pastor’ taco, ubiquitous on the streets of Mexico City and enjoyed immensely by Sam and Crispin when they ran nightclub El Colmillo there during the 90s and 00s.

Barrafina is a Spanish tapas bar, led by Executive Head Chef Angel Zapata Martin. There are four in London; Adelaide Street, Coals Drops Yard, Dean Street and Drury Lane. Each restaurant has an open kitchen and a beautiful marble topped bar where guests can sit and watch the chefs at work. The menus comprise authentic regional dishes from Spain, and daily specials menus unique to each location. The wine list features the finest Spanish sherries, Cavas and wines. Barrafina Soho has held a Michelin star since 2014, Barrafina Adelaide Street was named Best Restaurant at the 2016 OF

Quo Vadis is a historic Soho restaurant and members’ club with a colourful past - formerly a brothel and home to Karl Marx - and a timeless allure. The restaurants serve seasonal, regional British fare, with a menu conjured up monthly by Jeremy Lee and his team. An exuberant private members’ club, with two bars and its own restaurant, meets every requirement from dusk until dawn. Quo Vadis also boasts two handsome private dining rooms, both beautifully appointed and very well attended to. Tom Parker-Bowles awarded the restaurant a full 5/5 stars in Oct. 2016 and the restaurant was included in Sunday Times, The Dish’s Top100 restaurants in Britain list, 2017.
