We are seeking a Leisure Sales Manager to solicit and maintain luxury leisure sales business that enables the hotel to meet and/or exceed leisure transient revenue goals in rooms. This position is designed for a seasoned sales professional who has demonstrated consistently strong revenue production and who excels in the Leisure Market. The markets include: Retail, all travel agents, TMCs (Luxury Consortia) such as Virtuoso, American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts / Centurion, Signature, Ensemble, Travel Leaders, and more), wholesalers, OTA's and Tour Operators and any other accounts that may be considered appropriate.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Support the DOSM and Revenue Director with any related reporting or supervision task needed for the resort.
- Manage relationships and reservations with clients to generate revenue to the property. Address proactively needs of each guest with agents and make the necessary efforts for a successful experience for their clients.
- Be able to clearly articulate each brand value and points of differentiation, to capture Leisure revenue and share growth. Support revenue growth through planning and execution of personal sales calls, hotel site inspections with clients, joint sales calls with Belmond executives and participation in industry events.
- Evaluate productions, agency and partner and create plans and offers to increase production.
- Utilize all Belmond technology tools and reporting. Promote segment programs (i.e. Belmond Bellini Club program) and have a high degree of familiarity with initiatives and promotions in the Leisure segment. Maintain proper and detailed records of contacts met and managed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Director of Leisure Sales will represent Belmond El Encanto to the entire leisure segment.
- Perform own site visits at the property or coordinate with Belmond team members to execute site visits on your behalf.
- Your time whilst not travelling should be managed by you, however expectations are that you dedicate your full work time to the property.
- A personalized newsletter of the hotel should be sent to Luxury Travel Professionals multiple times per year (calendar to be prepared according to booking periods).
- Gather email addresses and build leisure travel database to communicate regionally.
- Each pre-approved trip or tradeshow attendance shall be followed with a report (to be submitted with the expense report).
COMPENSATION $100,000-$110,000 annual salary + bonus eligibility
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 3+ years luxury leisure sales experience required preferably in a luxury resort environment.
Skills:
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of hotel and competitive market
- Must possess basic computational ability
- Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, use of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge of computer accounting programs, math skills as well as budgetary analysis capabilities required
- Excellent interpersonal and sales-related skills. Exceptional organizational and supervisory skills.
