Required Skills / Experience : Belmond has a great opportunity for a Accounts Assistant to join our Trains and Cruises team based in London.
This role will be responsible for general accounting for our Trains and Cruises central function and would be ideal for someone wishing to develop their career within finance.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
The Accounts Assistant is responsible for assisting on the day to day accounting and reporting for the preparation of necessary financial information that will assist management in making educated decisions for the business. Main duties include (but not limited to):
- General Accounting
- Balance sheet reconciliations and journal preparation
- Control of the Revenue and cash generated
- Control of Contract labour and FTE reporting
- Inventories Control
- Preparation of payment runs
- Inter-company transactions
- Any other additional duties as assigned
- Out-of-hours work and occasional weekend work will be required for this role (in particular around month end and budget time).
The ideal candidate will
- have an interest in finance, demonstrated through education and/or prior experience.
- experience in an accounts assistant role would be beneficial.
- have an interest in a career within accounting and finance.
- have strong numerical, analytical and reasoning skills.
- be process driven with the ability to work in a timely, accurate and thorough manner.
- demonstrate the ability to think clearly under pressure.
- have the ability to work in an organised manner and meet deadlines.
- be a good communicator that can express themselves clearly and concisely and the ability to work effectively with senior management, colleagues and customers.
- have strong administrative skills, advanced excel and be familiar with accounting package such as Epicor, Workday and Infor.
- demonstrate a willingness to take on new challenges, professional attitude and team work ethic.
