Effectively monitor the daily operations of the respective outlet, provides support and guidance to fellow kitchen staff to ensure success and effective operation ending in a positive guest experience.
Develop, implement and train all menus as per the outlet concept, provide support to any of the other units if required.

The responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Ensure that all equipment and work areas clean and safe and in proper working order at all times.
• Responsible to train the production, preparation and presentation of all food items, ensuring highest quality at all times.
• Actively seek to increase revenue, monitor food and labour costs and implement cost management strategies in order to maximise financial returns.
• Ensure that all food health sanitation and standards are maintained.
• Create and implement new menu items as and when required.
• Keeps up-to-date standard recipe files.
• Manage kitchen supplies and food inventories.
• Ensure the completion of purchasing lists.
• Ensure all perishable food items received are inspected for quality.
• Interview and hire all kitchen employees.

Requirements

• Must have strong steakhouse background & knowledge.
• Must have at 4 years experience working as Sous Chef in a similar high profile international renowned operation.
• Knowledge of food ordering systems is required
• Ability to remain calm and courteous in demanding and difficult situations
• Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Able to work well under pressure
• Strong attention to detail
• Professional appearance and manners
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
