About the job

BSG INTERNS is placing Interns to train for 6 to 12 months in Food & Beverage service positions at very prestigious, private country clubs along the east coast and west to the legendary Great Plains of the USA. These areas include Florida, NY state, Connecticut, Cleveland, New Jersey, Massachusetts & Cape Cod.

Various start dates from April-June 2019, or in September-October 2019.

Internships offer the whole year in one location, or the "split program", offering two different experiences:

1) spending 4 or 5 summer months in a northern state (Connecticut, Ohio, North Dakota, New Jersey, Massachusetts or North Carolina)

2) The other 7-8 months in Florida's tropical winter

The split program offers diversity of both cultural and professional experiences, whereas the 12-month option offers a deeper level of those experiences.

Students cover only $500 of the Visa cost - the Host puts up the rest.
The only other costs are:
- US Embassy visit fee ($160)
- Flight (one-way is sufficient)
- Pre-arranged Housing (shared apartment rent or room/board fee)
The visa cost includes medical insurance.

Transport to and from the club is provided.

All internships positions are paid, most at $10 per hour. Overtime rates are payable beyond 40 hours per week.

BSG provides close guidance and assistance in the visa process, and with arriving in America. A full orientation is offered before arrival in the US, and continues to support students during their placement.

The company

Headquartered in Florida, BSG Interns specializes in placing Hospitality students from around the world on paid internships at premium-level private clubs in the USA and New Zealand. Students spend 6 to 12 months participating in a cultural exchange program, on a J-1 Visa, while creating exceptional and practical value for their CV.

Since 2008, BSG has placed interns from leading hospitality universities and schools all over the world but in particular Great Britain, the EU, Kenya, South Africa and Indonesia.

The European background of its principals, blended with their extensive hospitality experience in the US, positions BSG as the quintessential conduit for students looking to maximize the success of their internships.

For clubs, having career-oriented students enhances the quality of their service teams. Significantly, they also add a distinctive flair that is warmly appreciated by the more affluent members and guests to whom clubs cater.

For the students, the opportunity to intern at a private club in the US offers a breadth and quality of experience that is just not available anywhere else in the world. The resume (cv) value is significant but, as testified by previous interns, the opportunity has a long-term impact on their perspectives of operations, management and service.
