About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager to join Housekeeping in Burj Al Arab. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
  • To be responsible for the supervision and coordination of all the services offered by the Housekeeping department and to ensure they are carried out as per the department standard
  • To study and evaluate the operation of the Housekeeping Department, and suggest improvements to the Executive Housekeeper.
  • To assign duties and responsibilities to subordinates and assist the housekeeping colleagues in their duties.
  • To check the linen room, pantries, florist and stores to ensure smooth flow of Guest supplies, uniforms and linen.
  • To ensure that all colleagues report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag at all times
  • To assist in the building of an efficient team of employees by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety and department
  • To ensure that all colleagues provide a courteous and professional service at all times
  • To assist in the training of the colleagues, ensuring that they have the necessary skills to perform duties with the maximum efficiency
  • To ensure department training is conducted by the certified trainers on regular basis
  • To have correct information of cost of hotel items and guest supplies
About you:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
  • Fundamental school education
  • Minimum 3 years in 5 star property
  • Fluent in English written and verbal
  • Computer knowledge – Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Able to adapt to a large multi-cultural team.
  • Group Trainer
