About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager to join Housekeeping in Burj Al Arab. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

To be responsible for the supervision and coordination of all the services offered by the Housekeeping department and to ensure they are carried out as per the department standard
To study and evaluate the operation of the Housekeeping Department, and suggest improvements to the Executive Housekeeper.
To assign duties and responsibilities to subordinates and assist the housekeeping colleagues in their duties.
To check the linen room, pantries, florist and stores to ensure smooth flow of Guest supplies, uniforms and linen.
To ensure that all colleagues report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag at all times
To assist in the building of an efficient team of employees by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety and department
To ensure that all colleagues provide a courteous and professional service at all times
To assist in the training of the colleagues, ensuring that they have the necessary skills to perform duties with the maximum efficiency
To ensure department training is conducted by the certified trainers on regular basis
To have correct information of cost of hotel items and guest supplies

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

Fundamental school education
Minimum 3 years in 5 star property
Fluent in English written and verbal
Computer knowledge – Excel, Word and Power Point
Able to adapt to a large multi-cultural team.
