About the Job:

 

An exciting role has arisen for a talented Human Resources Manager to join the team at the Burj Al Arab. You will be responsible for the provision of generalist human resources support to the Hotel departments in order to ensure that human resource initiatives add value to the organization by fostering positive relationships and increasing colleague satisfaction and performance.

 

Your key duties will include: 

  • Overseeing the full HR Operations & Administration together with the Director of Human Resources in the hotel
  • Building professional relationships with all key departments in the hotel and in the corporate HR of Jumeirah
  • Communicating and administering assigned policies, programs and procedures.
  • Being able to interpret the UAE's Labour Law, ensure observance of all company and regulatory requirements and provide advice to management and colleagues regarding the employment relationship.
  • Overseeing the recruitment activities of the Jumeirah Recruitment Center ensuring that recruitment is conducted in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Monitoring Human Resources service standards to strive for best customer service practices based on available resources.
  • Analyzing, recommending, implementing and evaluating streamlined processes, procedures, systems and methods for Human Resources practices to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assisting in the implementation of effective internal communication tools within the Human Resources team.
  • Monitoring Human Resources indicators (monthly, year-to-date and historically) to identify trends and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Overseeing the engagement activities of the hotel to ensure high levels of colleague engagement.
  • Periodically reviewing manning needs and ensuring smooth operation of the hotel’s departments.

About the Job:


In order to be considered for this role, you must hold a recognised degree or qualification in Human Resources Management. You will have a minimum of 5 years of progressive professional development in Human Resources with a minimum of 2 years' experience as Human Resources Manager in a large luxury environment.

 

You must have high volume and specialist hospitality recruitment experience.  Experience gained in the United Arab Emirates or Gulf Region is viewed as highly desirable.  Excellent personal presentation / appearance, confidence and assertiveness (problem solving) as well as fluency in English both (written and verbal) are essential for this role.

 

You will be IT literate and comfortable utilizing Microsoft packages. Competent knowledge of HRMS is essential. Time management skills and ability to work in a busy team environment are also required for this role.
