Lead, Beauty Product Marketing

About the Job

CHANEL is looking for a Lead to join our Beauty Product Marketing Team in New York City. You will play a leading role to forecast and develop relevant beauty product assortment for the US via market insights to influence global marketing’s product strategy. This role interfaces with multiple departments and is a key partner to execute and support our business needs and strategy. Our ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience and a passion for beauty and product. This role will have one direct report.

What impact you can create at CHANEL:

  • Responsible for forecasting all new Face Makeup and Skincare launches for Chanel wholesale network
  • Frequent in-depth market analysis to identify product or shade gaps in the US market in order to influence global marketing development
  • Help building Chanel’s 3-years strategic plan for the cosmetics division
  • Manage product assortments and merchandising across all channels

What you will bring to the team...

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Understand the overall product launch cycle: analysis, forecast, communication, merchandising

  • Unique industry or insight experience

Position Logistics:

  • Min 5 Years of experience (Luxury preferable)
  • Strong analytical skills (Cognos, NPD)
  • Sensitivity to Beauty products, color & trends
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Comfortable public speaking (present to retailers and field employees)
  • Role based in our NYC offices
  • Travel 2-3 times a year for retailer or regional meetings
