It's an exciting time for Compass as customers’ needs and the surrounding landscape we operate in changes. Our aim is to transform at speed Compass’s Digital capabilities which will be data informed, connected, multi-platform, frictionless and ultimately deliver personalised customer experiences for all sector verticals. This will include a drive to new Omni-channel Digital Order, pay, collect/deliver channel experiences, data driven, enabling effective Operations, Sales Growth and Marketing decisions.  

The Digital Business Partner role will be accountable for supporting the development and delivery across all sectors of the UK/I Digital vision, strategy and roadmap ensuring alignment to business vision & goals, and our wider Digital & Technology strategy

Responsibilities

The Digital Business Partner will play a critical role in delivery of the UK&I Digital strategy product vertical across all Sectors. Specifically: 

  • Scope, document and submit Digital strategy and/or sector vertical demand requests to Digital & Technology teams or Digital Partners for development, build and delivery.
  • Be the Sector champion for Digital strategy - produce/present clear communications at all levels to ensure buy-in to what we are aiming to achieve, provide direction on mid/long-term priorities
  • Define and agree Digital priorities/roadmaps for Sectors and report on their delivery
  • Collaboratively work with other Digital & Technology Business Partners in other verticals to ensure new requirements are aligned to Digital and wider Digital & Technology strategies
  • Take responsibility for managing and evaluating trial & Proof Of Concept technology and make recommendations for inclusion into Digital product portfolio
  • Create standardised Sales bid & Retention ‘Digital packages’ to drive consistency, quality & value.  Support sales and retention bids with digital strategy and innovative solutions
  • Bring to life the Digital strategy with ‘art of the possible’ showcases (mobile or fixed)
  • Be a Digital thought leader and subject matter expert.  Promote and market the Digital strategy within Compass UK&I using all available and relevant mediums
  • Collaborate effectively with architects, data teams, digital 3d party to launch new products/features - maximising re-use across the Sectors
  • Promote the use of data and insight using the new Data Intelligence Data product ‘Insights Factory’ to make decisions that make the most difference for our customers and drive prioritisation of future work
  • Act as customer interface in partner/supplier relationships; identify necessary and/or desirable third-party technology, work with relevant teams to evaluate/select vendors
  • Contribute to Group and UK&I Digital developments as required
  • Seek to be recognised externally and in the industry for the creation & delivery of transformative Digital products

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Experience in product lifecycle management
  • Previous Vendor Management experience ideally in a D&T environment or similar technology related role.
  • Project Management qualification to Prince2 level.
  • Project delivery experience desirable.
  • D&TIL v3 foundation desirable.
  • Business analysis skills desirable.
