Job description

A 12-month Events Management Program with Convene – a company that is focused on revolutionizing the way businesses work. Currently, more than 70% of Fortune 500 companies partner with Convene for meetings and events of all sizes, and as an intern on this program you have a chance to be a part of it!

We are currently offering 12-month programs with Convene in the following locations:

New York City - starting in January 2019
Los Angeles - starting in January 2019
Chicago - starting in January 2019
Washington DC - starting in January 2019

As a paid intern, you will be hired as a Production Specialist – a junior member of the Production and Management Team. Your responsibilities will include planning and coordinating multiple small to mid-sized events, as well as supporting the day-to-day operations on-site.

All Interns must be aware that they will be responsible for sourcing their own accommodation whilst on this program.


In order to be eligible for the J1 Visa required to participate on this program, you must:

- Be enrolled into a full time university studying Tourism, Hospitality or Events
-Be a recent graduate of Tourism, Hospitality or Events
- Have 5 years worth of full-time work experience (gained outside of the USA) in the tourism/hospitality field.

• Be willing to pay the associated costs:

- Program Fee = £2,500 GBP
- US Embassy Appointment Fee = $160 USD
- SEVIS Fee = $190 USD
- Return flights to the USA
