Job description
The Licensing Franchise Manager serves as a partner to content makers and Franchise teams throughout DCPI and The Walt Disney Company (TWDC). This role is an integral member of the Global Franchise Licensing organization, is based in Glendale, CA, and reports to the Director, Franchise Disney Media Classics & Entertainment
Responsibilities
- Build and execute development of global strategic plan to drive business results, including merchandise, retail, creative, PR and marketing strategies
- Drive retail activation, including Identification of and implementation of creative and account specific strategies and needs
- Strategic planning and day-to-day oversight of social media profiles across platforms, including editorial calendar development, as well as liaising with external and internal partners
- Liaising with content & synergy partners (strategy development, content roll-out plans, promotional programs, cross-divisional planning)
- Serve as key franchise partner with sales and trade marketing to implement retail franchise strategies (planning calendar)
- Support Franchise Licensing team with strategy development, licensee relationships, pitches, marketing planning and activation
- Franchise partner with DCPI Creative Group and Product Development on development and implementation of key initiatives
- Primary communicator to licensees, retailers and internal DCPI community of Franchise Priorities (large scale pitches, Sales Meetings)
- Lead development of global pitch materials for licensees and Retail Sales
- Develop, manage and track segment budget
- Passion for Disney
- 5-7+ years prior brand management, franchise strategy development and marketing experience with global consumer products organization
- 4+ years social media/marketing experience
- Experience with and passion for Tween consumer segment
- Social media marketing/advertising/promotions and PR expertise
- Cross-category experience a plus
- Solid analytical and business analysis skills with experience developing strategic efforts to support analytical findings
- Experience managing complex projects with multiple work streams and deadlines
- Outstanding communications and collaboration skills
- Proven ability to develop strong partnerships
- Knowledge, affinity and passion for fashion, toys, and beauty trends for tweens, as well as awareness of pop culture and celebrity news
- Resourceful, innovative and responsive to change
- Passionate idea generator
- Superb verbal and written communication skillsPresentation wizard, advanced skills in Keynote
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business
