Job description

The Disney Digital Network is seeking a Senior Producer to help conceptualize, cultivate, and create new digital-first content across Disney Family, Disney Style, Oh My Disney, Babble, Polaris and other Disney Franchise initiatives. The candidate will work heavily with the editorial and development teams in forming new IP as well as maintaining the current robust production slate across the brand voices. Candidates should have a strong creative background in storytelling with additional years of experience in the logistical aspects of production. The Senior Producer will be responsible for gauging and managing the production resources needed for the success of their team.
  • Idea generation and revision in coordination with the editorial and development brand leads to create quarterly content slates
  • Manage personnel resources for their assigned brand voice
  • Directly manage and mentor full-time and freelance video team members including and their projects
  • Create the brand production schedule per quarter
  • Routing content through high level approval processes across the vast web of Disney departments
  • Uphold standards for producing content for the web including tone, voice, style, interactivity, and conversation
  • Adhere to division policies in regards to release forms, clearances, music rights, and other production legalities
  • Work closely with the Executive Producers and Sr. Director of Studios to understand strategy and objective behind content projects and ensure they deliver key goals
  • Work closely with Sales and clients on branded content initiatives
Basic Qualifications
  • 5-10 years experience in the entertainment industry
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a digital producer
  • Knowledge and interest of existing Disney and Disney Franchise IP including Pixar, Lucas. & Marvel
  • Understand content distribution on social media platforms and digital channels
  • Experience and comfort with pitching concepts to internal & external partners
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to take direction and work well with others
  • Previous experience working in the fast-paced world of editorial and news production
  • Be a proactive team player with excellent partnership and organizational skills
  • Proven managerial, multitasking and problem-solving skills with the ability to adjust quickly to continually changing landscapes
