Within Revenue Management and Analytics (R&MA), the Data Analytics consulting team leverages technology, data analytics, optimization, statistical and econometric modeling to explore opportunities, shape business decisions and drive business value. Candidates should have a natural curiosity to understand the "why" behind business performance, take a proactive role in problem-solving, be results oriented, be able to prioritize and be a team player in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities As a member of this team, this individual will be supporting the development of advanced analytic engines for Disney Studios and Media Networks.
Basic Qualifications •Experience with development languages such as Python, R, and the Django framework
•Familiarity with jQuery, XML, JSON, and AJAX
•Understanding of SQL
•Demonstrated strong attention to detail
•Experience with collecting and visualizing data
•Effective verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
•Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business environment and manage multiple priorities
Available to work full-time hours from January 2018 through early June 2018. Preferred Qualifications •Experience developing analytical functions and processes
•Prior web based UI development experience
•Familiarity with SAS tools, coding and functionality
•Experience generating technical documentation, flow diagrams and user requirements
•Previous work experience in software or analytics team
Required Education Junior, Senior, Graduate Level Student, or recent graduate (within 6 months of the internship start date) working towards or having received a degree in: Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or similar
Additional Information Internship Eligibility:
•Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall), or have graduated within the last 6 months prior to participation in the internship program OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
•Not have already completed two consecutive (spring/fall) College or Professional Internship Programs
•Must possess unrestricted work authorization
•Must provide full work availability
•Must provide own transportation to/from work
•Current Active Disney Cast Members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World Cast Members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland Cast Members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)
Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are January 2018 to June 2018.
Interns must be fully available for the duration of the internship.
Housing: A limited amount of company-sponsored housing is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
