Job description

The Lead QA Engineer will build/modify and maintain Test automation Frameworks for UI, API and Mobile functional automation.
Responsibilities
  • Work with test architects to identify and prioritize tests that are candidates for automation
  • Interact with development teams to help implement optimized and re-usable functional test automation
  • Provide test automation to development teams on certain projects
  • Provide test automation for regression and integration efforts
  • Maintain the functional test portion of Continuous Integration pipeline
  • Define onboarding requirements for tests entering the Continuous Integration pipeline
  • Review automated test code to assure adherence to standards and to advice on optimization
  • Research, identify and implement new test automation technologies
  • Define document and conduct training on test automation practices, tools and coding standards
Basic Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience (minimum) programming in an object oriented programming language such as Java or C# and experience with JavaScript
  • 3-5 years of experience (minimum) working with UI, Mobile UI and API test automation using:
    • Selenium
    • Appium
    • JUnit
    • TestNG
    • Java
  • Experience working in or a solid understanding of test driven development
  • Experience working in or a solid understanding of behavior driven development
  • Experience working in a continuous integration environment
  • Experience with a continuous integration tool such as Jenkins, or Bamboo
  • Experience with container services such as Docker
  • Experience leveraging third-party application and service Web APIs
  • Solid Understanding of Agile development lifecycle
  • Solid understanding of software testing practices
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure or other cloud services providers in support of CI/CD solutions
  • Knowledge of test technology trends and Web frameworks/tools (AngularJS, NodeJS, cloud etc.)
  • Experience working with cloud services Selenium grids and cloud services device farms (Sauces Labs is preferred)
  • Experience working with NodeJS and NPM
