Job description

The Senior Communications Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day operations, design, and support of WDW voice solutions. This includes project design, documentation, management, testing, validation and implementation for all voice projects. They are also responsible for developing training documents for the team and maintaining complex databases or run-books. This position works with different business units and vendors to ensure Disney standards to integrate and support new and existing voice designs (Avaya CM, CS1000, Cisco CUCM). This is a self-directed position centered around daily responsibilities with direct management oversight. ResponsibilitiesSupport Day-to-Day Telecom Operations:
  • Review and monitor Service Level Agreements to ensure service standards are achieved
  • Incident and event management, address any opportunities in a timely manner
  • Address any high level issues with supported voice technologies and solutions
  • Interact with key partners including Alarms, Disney IT, DGCS, Technical Operations, Video Technologies, and Imaging Governance and external partners, including Avaya, AT&T, Smart City and ATOS to ensure quality service
Training and Documentation:
  • Prepare and develop training for the teams based on the growing needs and requirements of our customers
  • Test and validate key applications, such as SIP, GPON, and Contact Centers
  • Track all PCI compliance tasks relating to voice applications and work with partners and suppliers to ensure timely completion
Project Management and Communication:
  • Gather data from key customers and work with suppliers to execute appropriate solutions
  • Create and communicate project timelines and ensure projects are completed on time and on budget
Close out completed projects and prepare run-books and network diagarams Basic QualificationsCandidate must have a minimum of 5 years’ of hands-on experience with Avaya solutions, including:
  • Aura Communications Manager, Aura Systems and Session Manager, Aura Messaging, G450 Gateways, Aura Call Center Services, Aura Elite, AACC & IVR, Avaya Workforce Optimization, Verint Call and Screen Recording, Avaya Session Border Controllers
Candidate must have:
  • Proven knowledge of LAN/WAN/WLAN networks
  • Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills for timely reporting metrics
  • Willingness to learn new software applications
Willingness to work weekends and after hours as required by customer and business demand Preferred QualificationsPreferred three to five years’ leadership experience Required Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technology or equivalent work experience
  • Current Avaya CM Certification
Preferred Education
  • Master’s degree in Business or Technology or equivalent work experience
  • Current Avaya CM Certification
