The Technology Facilities Project Manager will enable the Walt Disney Attractions Technology (WDAT) business priorities through the development and implementation of a living facilities plan for WDAT servicing ~800 Cast Members and ~600-1000 onsite 3rd party resources. They will track, audit and analyze current space utilization, collect requirements, create, implement and assess current policies, research and identify opportunities to better meet the current and future space needs. They will develop and present recommendations to leadership, implement agreed upon approaches and track effectiveness. Responsibilities include management of all existing WDAT locations in Florida as well as potential new sites. Responsibilities
  • As part of the WDAT Facilities team, support the Orlando area WDAT organization to identify viable options, recommend appropriate solutions, and implement within the established facilities framework. The successful candidate will determine policy exceptions, implement and alert management for awareness. They will provide timely, local support, guidance, and decisions to cast, 3rd party resources/vendors and partners for day-to-day operations and contribute to the overall development of an ongoing strategy of WDAT facilities management to keep pace with the needs of the evolving organization.
  • Proactively meet with executives to determine space needs and develop master plan for space allocation to meet business requirements and partner with Building & Property Management to reconcile differences in space inventories and solutions for new requirements. Research current space utilization trends to identify opportunities for improvements within WDAT’s space allocation and partner with other Facilities contacts where WDAT co-occupies facilities to track occupancy, and monitor trends.
  • Provide project management for large/small projects or initiatives related to WDAT’s Facilities, partnering with Corporate Real Estate, Building & Property Management, 3rd party building management, consulting firms and WDAT stakeholders and develop and track project plan, timeline, and risks, providing regular executive updates.
  • Manage the portfolio of A/V equipment (incl. video teleconferencing) for conference rooms/collaboration spaces, coordinate and manage installation, operation and refresh of all equipment. Foster strong partnerships with vendors and partners to ensure availability and monitor trends in usage for existing A/V needs and adapt to evolving needs by assessing demand and researching advancements.
  • Track/monitor/analyze spending for centralized WDAT facilities, supplies, and HW/SW budgets to ensure actuals track to forecast, and proactively identify budget overrun risks and present corrective action recommendations.
  • Oversee centralized supplies ordering process, monitor demand and make process adjustments as needed for WDAT and proactively develop an ongoing plan for keeping pace with demand and maintain a governance process to ensure adherence. Periodically review historic supply orders to assess cost saving opportunities, develop recommendations and implement agreed-upon changes and continually evaluate the effectiveness of current and future processes.
  • Manage the overall use of common spaces, including conference rooms, war rooms, visiting executive offices, labs, and collaboration areas and consistently look for efficiencies to better utilize these spaces, developing and implementing policies as needed.
Basic Qualifications
  • 5 to 7 years of related experience, 7+ years preferred.
  • Proven track record in taking ownership, driving results and accepting change to implement ideas in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated experience documenting and analyzing information and data and being able to translate that into a comprehensive plan.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and maintain calm in stressful situations.
  • Strong written, oral communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated experience at being successfully detail oriented.
  • Strong organization, planning and task management skills.
  • Proven experience working within PowerPoint, Excel and Visio.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and drive results remaining in sync with overall plans.
  • Strong relationship building skills and experience.
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels within and outside of Walt Disney Attractions Technology.
