The Cluster Revenue Manage Role
• To optimize the room revenue of the assigned hotel;
• To ensure commercial financial fluency of the hotel and operations team
• To identify new leads across all revenue streams and involve the appropriate members of the commercial team to develop these leads

The Cluster Revenue Manager Responsibilities

• Oversee revenue management and distribution strategy of the hotels allocated and manage day to day yield operations.
• Daily pick-up analysis, strategy adjustments and reporting.
• Perform competitive benchmark studies, follow market trends, utilisation of business intelligence tools and maintenance of group wide information systems
• Create and maintain a 12-18 month rolling hotel status.
• Create and develop pricing strategies in conjunction with the individuality of the hotel, balancing both budgetary requirements with current market performance.
• Utilisation of dynamic forecast to provide direction to hotel demand generators.
• Manage and oversee strategy for all 3rd party distribution in tandem with the OTA manager.
• Liaising with OTA Manager, eCommerce team, and Distribution Manager to ensure all content is up-to-date.
• Provide strategic steer and guidance to the C&B and London Meeting offices to ensure they are fully informed when assessing, analysing and quoting on multiple traveller bookings.
• Analyse overall monthly hotel performance and provide summary report with recommendations to improve long term strategies.
• Ensure all related systems are configured correctly, validated and working to full capacity, includes but not limited to auditing our front-end systems; audits Opera, HDBM/CHW, GDS, and web sites to ensure the systems are reflecting the correct revenue parameters; and rate loading;.
• Oversee and audit the standards and operations of the reservations department.
• Regularly check the input and the quality of data points (MDM, Opera EzRMS).
• Responsible for best practice standards to include: competitor analysis; environmental scanning; market modelling; distribution yield management; business mix yield management; length of stay yield management; inventory availability by channel; pricing control and new pricing concepts
• Evaluate performance of distribution partners and contracted rates (OTA, FIT, tour operator, corporate, consortia, crew, groups, etc…).
• Reduce the cost of distribution by finding new less expensive means of delivering business
• Prepare outline for and support the annual revenue budget process.
• Regular interaction with the hotels to get first-hand knowledge of all revenue management issues and other key areas.
• Any other reasonable requests made by management
• Reviewing different segments and providing analytical feedback including retail, consortia and corporate segments.
• Reviewing and analysing the TravelClick Demand, Agency and Rate products.
• Monitoring rate parity across distribution channels
• Monthly revenue meetings


The Cluster Revenue Manager Requirements

• The candidate must be passionate, hungry to sell Edwardian Hotels London, self-motivated, driven and target focused.
• An excellent knowledge on how to use IT applications: Opera; Desktop Publishing; and browsers.
• Has excellent command of written and spoken English language
• Demonstrate the ability to proactively prioritise needs, put first things first, and effectively manage resources.
• Ability to listen and gain and understanding of the clients requirements to be able to provide a sales solution from Edwardian Group, London
• Understand the hospitality industry and be commercially minded
• Strong sense of need for achievement of goals and success.
• Good analytical and numeric skills for fast data crunching.
• Ability to work under own initiative in a highly pressured environment.
• Good listening skills and the ability to anticipate business needs.
• Able to develop relationships with 3rd parties and the hotel teams.
• Capacity to read situation, understand environments and respond accordingly
• Capable of prioritizing between revenue generating actions and time consuming tasks with low yield impact.
• Well-developed interpersonal, adaptive influencing and supervisory management skills
• Willingness to travel and ability to interact professionally with other cultures
• High level of motivation, determination and commitment.
• IDEAS – systems knowledge would be beneficial.
