The Role
•As a House Steward your function enables the company to consistently deliver on our brand promise by maintaining high standards of cleanliness in all guest rooms and throughout the hotel and by practicing Demonstrates excellent time keeping and completes duties assigned
•Maintains a spotless clean, tidy and pleasant smelling corridor, public areas, trolleys, linen cupboard and back areas
•Ensures Back of House/linen areas, public areas are to be kept tidy and free from any trip hazards whilst working
•Assists room attendants/section housekeepers as and when necessary
•Identifies and reports maintenance requirements using MMS (defects/faults)
•Makes the housekeepers aware of anything that requires their attention
•Ensures back areas and changing room are kept spotlessly clean and tidy at all times
•Ensures that all goods received are securely stored
•Ensures that all stores are kept tidy
•Ensures that the housekeeping daily checklist is carried out daily
•Ensures that all allocated work spaces are cleaned and presented to the required standards on a daily

About you

The Requirements
•Is fully aware of Health and safety procedures
•Is familiar with chemical usage
•Has a good level of knowledge for manual handling procedures
•Good command of English language, ability to communicate effectively with guest and fellow colleagues
•Have effective organisational skills
•Maintains a good record of attendance
•Is confident in advising guests about the hotel facilities
