Job description


As Reservations Manager you use all your leadership skills to be able to carry the team and bring them to the next level. You supervise, manage and lead our reservations team (15 FTE) who are responsible for all individual bookings for all our amazing properties located in different cities in Europe. You will be working from our Headquarters located in vibrant Amsterdam. The majority of your team is located here as well.

What else comes with it?
• Constantly working to increase the number of room reservations and maximize revenue;
• Managing subordinates (schedule’s, assigning tasks, handling workloads e.g.);
• Training staff;
• Provide superior customer service at all times (and make sure the rest of the team knows how to);
• Solving problems and come up with solutions;
• Hiring, retaining and developing booking office employees;
• Monthly reporting with regards to conversion, revenues and tracking any kind of data;
• Creating/updating standard operating procedures;
• Daily/weekly spot checks on the work of the team;
• You work closely with our Groups, Meeting & Events Manager and our Front Office Managers to boost revenues and customer satisfaction.

In this role you report to our Booking Office Manager. You assist the Booking Office Manager with budgeting, forecasting as well as projects that relate to the activities within the Booking Office team, the operational departments of the hotels and the opening and taking over of new hotels within our amazing collection of hotels.

In short, a position that requires guts and a proactive hands-on mentality.

You are a born Leader who makes him/herself heard, shows initiative, is flexible and being able to carry an international team in a young and fast growing company. We are looking for an assertive colleague with flair who cannot wait to give the commercial activities of the department a boost and bringing the team to a next level. Our ideal candidate will have the ability to work to deadlines and being able to oversee the department and all tasks.

• HBO/ Bachelor degree;
• 2 years of experience in a leading role, preferably in the hospitality or customer service sector;
• A born leader with a proactive hands-on mentality;
• Not afraid to make him/herself heard;
• Great listener;
• You are super commercial;
• Passion for the hospitality;
• Excellent social and communication skills;
• English needs to be spoken and written fluently, Dutch, German and Spanish are a big plus;
• Knowledge of OPERA PMS and Sihot is a pré.
