Showcase your creative flair and interpersonal skills as F&B Sales Manager, where you will grow our market share with exciting promotional campaigns that showcase our exceptional guest offerings. Hotel Overview: Fairmont Chengdu, situated within the Palm Springs International Centre, is located in the heart of Tianfu New Area and Chengdu Hi-tech Zone and is adjacent to the Century City New International Convention & Exhibition Center, Global Center and the Tianfu Software Park.  Palm Springs International Centre includes the hotel, an grade A level commercial office tower and two luxury residential towers, anchored by a 42,100 square meter retail mall.The hotel features 336 guest rooms, Willow Stream Spa, Gold Executive Floor, over 1,350 square meters of meeting facilities, and a collection of F&B concepts including an all-day-dining restaurant Spectrum, CUBE a three-floor concept - lounge, cocktail bar and Japanese restaurant, a signature Sichuan Chinese restaurant Chang Yi, and our feature restaurant and bar occupying the top two levels of the hotel, Manhattan. The hotel is expected to open in 4th quarter of 2016.Chengdu is one of China’s most famous cities and is a top destination for people from China and around the world to visit.   It has a deep culture and history, hundreds of amazing tourist attractions and of course the famous Chengdu and Sichuan cuisine.  Chengdu has been listed as one of the fastest growing and top 4 cities to live in in China.

 

Summary of Responsibilities:

 

  • Increasing Revenues of all F&B Outlets
  • Help maintaining a healthy average food check
  • Increase Guest Data Base of all F&B outlets
  • A role model in grooming and professional demeanor, being an ambassador for Fairmont Chengdu’s Food & Beverage Division
  • Maintain great guest relations and ensure guests become and remain loyal to Fairmont Chengdu
  • Responsible to call back every organizer from all PDR’s and groups larger than 10 guests in the main restaurant of the previous day to enquire on satisfaction and invites back. A written record will be created and maintained
  • Will be personally present for VIP arrivals and important company bookings, especially when booked by herself
  • Responsible to organize that every guest in the data base is contacted monthly, e.g. through monthly newsletters, guest call back, mail outs
  • Maintains a great relationship and daily communication with all hostess teams, managers and Culinary teams of the hotel
  • Support driving Marketing & PR initiatives for all F&B outlets.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all food & beverage services & outlets, hotel services/features and hours of operation
  • Handles restaurant reservations as required on conjunction with the hostess teams of the hotel
  • Will be available to assist hostess and service team on busy days as assigned
  • Handle guest complains by following instant pacification procedures ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Provide administrative support and prepare business guest communications in conjunction with the Outlet Managers when necessary
  • Create and maintain a record of guest preferences and ensure they are communicated
  • Handles special tasks as assigned by the F&B Director (e.g. Special promotions and programs in the outlets etc.)
  • Attend designated meetings. (Daily F&B Meeting, F&B Marketing Meeting, Weekly Operations Meeting, Sales Meetings where required)
  • Keeps record and proof of incremental revenue achieved through her/his position
  • Responsible to organize and drive pre-sale and season sales of  the yearly mooncake program of the hotel in conjunction with the Restaurant Managers and Director of F&B
  • Creates and submits a monthly report to the Director of F&B
  • What initiatives have been taken in the present month (e.g. company visits, guest calls etc)
  • What activities are planned for the coming period
  • Successes and opportunities for improvement
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Previous leadership experience within F&B marketing required
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications and other relevant computer applications required 
  • University/College degree in a related discipline required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in China. The hotel will assist with the working visa for suitable foreigner applicants.
