Hotel Overview:  Fairmont Regional Linen Service is a commercial and dry cleaning facility that is owned and operated by Fairmont Hotels and Resorts in the beautiful mountain town of Canmore.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the General Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:             
  • Personally greeting all internal/external guests, offering support and directing enquiries
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service  
  • Provide all office administration duties such as written correspondence, mail, photocopying and ordering office supplies
  • Maintain confidential filling system for correspondence, policies, standards, regulations and various matters related to the General Manager’s office   
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures
  • Follow all safety policies
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Provide a high level of data entry competence and accuracy in the following areas:
      • Entry of all laundry and dry cleaning bills
      • Daily payroll administration and answer questions from employees
      • Processing pay alterations and payoffs
      • Processing month end
      • Preparing purchase orders with invoices
      • Tracking all purchase orders
      • Billing of hotels
      • Creating and formatting spreadsheets
      • Perform word processing including letters, documents and reports
      • Recording and distributing meeting minutes
      • Maintain confidential employee files
      • Administer company benefits/pension plan/LOA/vacation/STD and answer any questions from employees
      • New hire Orientations
      • Staff housing coordinator, check in’s/ inspections, repairs and accounting
    • Liaise and coordinate with the Paymaster
    • Answer phones and distribute messages
    • Assist with organizing staff events and activities
    • Deal directly with Hotels on various matters
    • Provide courteous and professional service to internal and external customers and employees
    • Assist the General Manager
    • Support the Assistant Manager, Human Resources Manager and other members of the Management Team
  • Previous experience in an administrative role required
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
  • Must be able to type 25 words per minute
  • University/College degree in a related discipline an asset
  • Strong knowledge of Fairmont Regional Linen Service's accounts
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on accounts needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
