Guest Service Manager, Banquet

The Guest Service Manager, Banquet is responsible for operating and maintaining all multimedia technology facilities within the Raffles City Convention Centre (RCCC). He/She should provide first level support on all multimedia and related technologies to hotel guests for all meetings and events at the hotel.
Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director of Banquet Operations, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Setting up of audio, video, lighting, data network and display equipment in accordance with guest requirements.
Check and monitor the status of the system, administer access code generation for all RCCC events.
Be the first line of contact when guest faces IT challenges at RCCC and address guest enquires and concerns regarding RCCC network.
Diagnose basic hardware and software faults e.g. login issues, VPN issues, Proxy settings or speed issues and ensure that all unusual occurrences are properly logged and escalated to respective departments.
Setup Ethernet cables and switches when required, ensure all cabling accessories are accounted for maintained and inventoried.
Ensure proper inventory and maintenance of all multimedia, IT and audio visual equipment.
Investigates all hardware malfunctions; notifies any equipment malfunction to department head.
Provide multimedia technology assistance to F&B outlets, guestrooms and other ad-hoc events.
Comply with hotel and department policies and procedures at all times.
Carry out any adhoc duties as assigned.
At least Diploma in Audio Visual Technology or related field preferred
At least 3 years of AV or ICT related experience in established hotel
Attention to details, organized and methodical
Quick thinking and resourceful in handling any given situation
