Hotel Overview: Set on a 520 acre estate with a unique coastal setting in the Home of Golf, Fairmont St Andrews is the perfect location to turn any holiday into a treasured memory whilst offering a resort experience steeped in the history of the area and traditions of Scotland. The Resort includes 209 luxurious guest bedrooms, 6 diverse dining outlets, 2 golf courses and a tranquil Spa & Leisure facility.

 

 

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

Marketing

  • Managing digital/online reputation through monitoring and responding to all guest reviews on social media, OTA’s via the TrustYou platform
  • Supporting the corporate social responsibility and community engagement of the hotel, manage and respond to all donation requests, whilst conforming to brand parameters.
  • Continually develop and maintain a stock of accurate, informative and creative ad-hoc press kits.
  • Assist with stock management and ordering throughout the Resort.
  • Assist with internal communications of all promotion initiatives across all departments to keep all colleagues aware of current activity to include regular competitor reviews, sales update and collateral checks.
  • Monitor social channels for trending news, ideas and influencers.
  • Assist in production of content for the quarterly resort magazine ‘Zephyr Times’.
  • Other duties as assigned including but not limited to marketing admin, presentations, sales team research with weekly reporting.

 

 

 

Sales & Revenue

 

  • To work closely with the Commercial Director, Director of Sales and Digital & Communications Manager on all administration and reporting tasks
  • To pull together daily / weekly / monthly statistics and reports as necessary
  • To raise all departmental purchase orders and ensure that the financial procedures are in line with company policies and forecasts are updated with input from Commercial Director
  • To organise and administrate show rounds/familiarisation trips, media visits and site inspections - attending as and when appropriate
  • Other duties as and when required to ensure an efficient sales & marketing team

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience is an asset
  • An understanding of the hospitality industry would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
