Learning & Development Coordinator

As Learning and Development Coordinator, you will be assisting the L&D Manager in managing the department and support hotel strategies in the areas of recruitment, retention, training and development.



Hotel Overview:

Fairmont The Palm is a luxury, world-class resort located on the iconic Palm Jumeirah Island in Dubai. The hotel features 381 guest rooms and suites with dedicated Fairmont Gold rooms and lounge. A total of seven food and beverage outlets on property plus 24-hour in-room dining—offer a mix of culinary and entertainment options that mirror Dubai’s cosmopolitan air including Indian and Mediterranean cuisine and a Brazilian churrasco experience. Fairmont The Palm also features an expansive pool and beach area with a health club, Willow Stream Spa and the Fairmont Falcons Juniors’ Club



Summary of Responsibilities:



Reporting to the Learning and Development Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
Conduct training programs including but not limited to
Hotel Orientation
Train the Trainer
Supervisory Skills Program
Soft Skills modules
Heartist and other Brand related colleague trainings.
Develop training content and conduct training courses for colleagues and supervisors.
Manage cross training across the hotel.
Conduct regular review of Colleague’s PMP, PDI and Development plans and provide feedback to the leaders on timelines and quality of submission.
Maintains and updates Communication channels on a regular basis.
Maintains training records by ensuring all trackers are up to date.
Handles all the administrative duties for the Learning & Development function; such as communicating the training calendar, organizing training venues, monitoring attendance and feedback
Compiles all L&D reports on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
Ensures that the hotel grooming policy is communicated and adhered to.
Lead the Heartist Committee and spearhead employee recognition activities.
Lead the Internship program of the hotel.
Assists and support colleague activities and events throughout the year.
Assists with other Human Resources administration function.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Previous experience in Learning and Development is an advantage.
1-2 years Hotel experience in an administrative function is required.
Charismatic, highly organized, energetic, fun and creative
Able to develop strong relationships with Colleagues and Leaders
Highly passionate about the company Mission, Promise and Values
Highly passionate Guest Service
Computer literate in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Possesses excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Exceptional public speaking skills
Able to prioritize and organize work assignments
Positive and supportive team member
Able to identify hotel training needs by conducting focus groups and analyzing hotel measurements
