The Four Seasons Hotel & Residences are spread across two immaculately designed 30-story towers - The South & North Towers. The hotel comprises of 234 guest rooms, including 31 Executive Suites, a Presidential Suite and 13,000 sq. ft. of Banquet Spaces.

An exciting addition to Bengaluru’s culinary scene, the Hotel will introduce several unique dining outlets to the city, including the finest Asian Brasserie restaurant serving Chinese, Japanese and Thai cuisines; a specialty Bar with a bespoke concept serving artfully crafted Cocktails, an All Day Dining restaurant with a global street kitchen concept, a Lobby Lounge designed for social and business meetings and a Pool Bar offering innovative mocktails, cocktails and light meals.

Position

The Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru is looking for a Director of Catering. Candidates with passion for excellence, expertise in hospitality operations and proven leadership experience are invited to apply for a career with Four Seasons.The Director of Catering will oversee all group business including conference and banqueting rooms, individual receptions, weddings and celebrations. Additionally, their responsibilities shall include but not limited to-

Supervision and overall responsibility of the Catering function including maintaining and monitoring the accuracy and effectiveness of all written communication from Catering Manager and Catering Administrative Assistants. These procedures include but are not limited to: Menu and Event Proposals, Contracts, Banquet Event Orders, Catering Resumes, Daily Events Report, and Delphi Input Standards.

Actively prospect and solicit, develop, and maintain local corporate catering accounts through telephone, personal sales calls, trade shows, and on-site entertainment. Finalize the requirements of personally booked catering events while maximizing revenue potential through up selling and ensuring effective communication both written (Resumes, BEO, Daily Reports) and personal contact with all departments for the success of the event. Ensure accuracy of Banquet Checks and provide bill review on completion of program or event.

Plan and/or attend and/or participate in meetings with hotel staff and clients, including but not exclusive to: Morning Operations Briefing, Morning CS Briefing, Resume Meeting, Banquet Event Order Meeting, Sales Meeting, Pre-Convention Meetings, Bi-Monthly Board of Operations, Menu Tastings and Planning Site Visits.

Requirements:

College education preferred

Solid and hands-on experience as a Catering or Conference Services Manager in a full service hotel, including experience in handling weddings and the social market.

Excellent reading, writing & oral proficiency in the English language

Proven interpersonal skills with a track record of successful client interactions.

Excellent organizational skills, Attention to detail, Ability to multitask, Ability to work long and irregular hours, weekends, and evenings, Ability to negotiate, organize, delegate & work under pressure is required.

Basic knowledge of audio-visual equipment, internet, telecommunication technology – helpful.

Knowledge of Delphi Sales and Catering Software

Computer literacy to include MS Word, Excel, and ability to use e-mail and the Internet.

High level of creativity with food and beverage menu proposals
