The most recent project- an outdoor swimming pool and bar with under-water music. The Hotel’s new pool area is a sophisticated oasis perfect for enjoying and relaxing dip with a refreshing drink. The Pool Bar’s menu offers a good selection of food, petiscos, drinks and Lisbon-inspired cocktails.

What will be your main responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Director of Food and Beverage, this role oversees our Banquet, Restaurant, Bar and In Room Dining operations;
The role balances the critical importance of big picture leadership with the day to day management of the operation, by developing and engaging the team, problem solving and delivering results for the business;

Maintain a visibility in the operation at key times to support operational teams and the guest experience;
Proactively seek the industry’s top talent, ensuring we have the right people in the right roles;
Develop strong relationships across the hotel with all stakeholders;
Drive profitability by closely managing labour and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, menu engineering, purchasing decisions and stock control;
Provide leadership and management for the Food & Beverage division by establishing plans of character, integrity and quality which result in the long-range continued growth and profitability of the division and hotel;
Coordinate the selection, training, development, and evaluation of employees and managers in the Food & Beverage Division through effective management and leadership to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met; long-range strategic planning for outlet operation;
Control labour and operating expenses through effective planning, budgeting, purchasing decisions, policy making and inventory control while focusing on creative cost control and revenue generation solutions to maximize profit in the division and hotel;
To prepare a timely and accurate forecast;
To be visible in the operation, recognize and maintain relationships with regular guests as well as cultivate relationships with new patrons through effective marketing and personal relationships.
Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met as well as attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers, third parties/vendors/suppliers and superiors.
Assist with set-up and cleaning of operational areas.
Create and post employee schedules. Interact with staff and management that is performance related. Lead and motivate the teams under own responsibility while being accountable for the operation’s assets and actions of personnel.
What you will bring to us:

Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload;
The candidate must hold the required authorization to work in an European country;
Reading, writing and oral proficiency both in Portuguese and English.
