Summary:

The Director of Sales provides leadership to the sales team in order to position the property as the premier deluxe resort in the location.  The Director ensures that sales and catering activities and bookings are focused to yield maximum revenue per room occupied.

    Key Elements of the Job

    • Ability to train and guide team to ensure results are met
    • Direct sales activities to achieve budgeted goals, monitor and identify current and future business trends to insure profitable sales in periods of low and high demand
    • Negotiate and achieve maximum revenue/profit potential while satisfying client''s needs
    • Direct the hotel''s group room sales activity and be proactive and creative in developing sales and marketing solutions
    • Assist in the development of the annual marketing plan
    • Ensure projects are executed for all market areas as stated in the hotel marketing plan with emphasis on increasing group sales and profitability, review market analysis and determine client needs, occupancy potential, rates desired.

    Skills/Qualifications:

    • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the required language(s).
    • (4) year college/university degree (or equivalent).
    • Previous experience as a DOS or Sales Manager in a Hotel or Resort
    • Good personal & business reference
    • Working knowledge of computer spreadsheets (Lotus or Excel), word processing (Word or Word Perfect), and PowerPoint

    US work authorization is required unless candidate is currently in a managerial position at a Four Seasons location. Current Four Seasons managers may qualify for L-1 visa sponsorship.
