Job description

The Guest Services Attendant is an integral part of the Guest Services Team whose main objective is to ensure our guests are well looked after from arrival to departure. As the first and last impression of the Hotel, this high profile department carries a special responsibility. The Guest Services Attendant may be stationed outside the entrance of the hotel to greet each guest by name upon arrival and departure to the hotel. He/She also loads and unloads all guest luggage from vehicles and assists guests with general inquiries about the hotel and the local area. The individual will also be responsible to be stationed inside the hotel and greet each guest by name upon arrival and departure. The Guest Services Attendant transports luggage to the guest room for arrivals and transports luggage for departing guests to the hotel entrance or into temporary storage and also provides arriving guests with a hotel orientation. He/She may also be responsible for car jockeying a guest vehicle upon arrival and departure.

Job Requirements

We are looking for candidates who have excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and the ability to multi task are required. Excellent communication skills and command of the English language are essential. This position may require standing outside for the majority of the shift and requires the ability to lift at least 60lbs. The ideal candidate will also have a warm welcoming smile, a positive attitude and be knowledgeable about the local area.  To fulfill the complete responsibilities of this role, the individual must have a valid G Class Drivers license, must be able to drive manual and automatic and must have a clean driving record (minimum of two years). This position requires an applicant with a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, day , night, weekends and holidays.

Additional Skills & Abilities preferred

1-2 years previous experience in a Guest Services role in a fast paced Hotel operation

Exceptional communication skills and command of English language

Additional language a definite asset for career growth

Completion of Post Secondary Education in Hospitality or related field
