Are you ready to take the next big step in your hospitality career? Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe is seeking a dynamic individual with a proven track record of catering sales, great attention to detail and professionalism for exciting role as Director of Catering.  This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated candidate who is ready to assume ultimate responsibility and lead our fast paced catering and conference service department. The Director of Catering will promote our Resort as the top choice for meetings, events, and weddings in Santa Fe and surrounding area.

What are we looking for and what can you bring to the table?

  • We’re for looking for a genuine caring and compassionate individual with a passion for hospitality that possess integrity and accountability.
  • You would have a professional attitude and sincere approach with interaction to guests and vendors via phone and face to face.
  • You create strong relationships and with ability and drive to maintain these relationships with vendors, planners and within the Santa Fe Community.
  • An individual who let’s their personality shine through and can be themselves.
  • You feel empowered to make the best decisions for the company as well as the guest
  • You have a professional career having 5+ years experience in hotel (preferably luxury) related to Catering with leading, supervising and directing staff.
  • You have and can show results of a successful track of selling weddings, social and corporate catering events.
  • Your working love and passion is all about the top level luxury hospitality industry.
  • You must have the highest level of integrity and transparency.
  • You are a team player and foster connection, as your role works very closely with Banquet and Culinary operations showing support, coaching, and open to feedback.
  • You are brave; have a pro-active and inquisitive mind set to develop problem solving, decision making, conflict resolution and strategic thinking skills
  • Your craftsmanship includes knowledge of production methods and event planning working on the fly and flexible with any changes, obstacles and issues that may arise.
  • Ability to have work hard but still have FUN!
  • Your organizational and time management skills are at the top of the list for your skills, making you a professional in preparing accurate written correspondence including letters, contracts and reports and the preparation of Banquet Event Orders, and resumes if needed.
  • Your flexible in your work schedule knowing that most events and conferences can happen on evenings, weekends and holidays based on business needs.
  • Analyze and prepare the Catering and Conference Services weekly financial forecast, and financial summaries.  You will assist in the annual marketing plan and budget.
  • This position reports to the Director of Marketing
