Status: Full time

Location: Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea, HI

We are looking for a Lobby Lounge Sous Chef who is passionate in providing only the highest levels of customer service.  This position reports to our Executive Chef & Executive Sous Chef.  Work authorization for this location is required.

Responsibilities

Supervise and oversee the preparation of the Lobby Lounge food items per guest orders or as assigned by kitchen management in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.

Knowledge and Skills

Education:

High School education, cooking school or culinary institute education or equivalent experience.

Experience:

Minimum three years culinary or related work experience. Advanced culinary knowledge is expected for this position. Previous supervisory experience is preferred. Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job.

Skills & Abilities:

Requires a working knowledge of division operations as well as Four Seasons cultural and core standards, policies, and standard operating procedures. Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job. Requires ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems. Requires the ability to operate and utilize culinary production equipment and tools. Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.

Licenses or Certificates:

Hawaii Food Handler’s Card

ServSafe (within 3 months)

Tuberculosis Clearance

Hours Required

The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day and scheduled days and times may vary based on need.
