The Role of Events and Sales Coordinator:

We currently have an opportunity for a passionate and energetic Events and Sales Coordinator to join our pre-opening San Domenico Palace, Taormina, A Four Seasons Hotel team in Sicily, Italy! 

Reporting into the Events Manager with a dotted line to our Director of Sales, you will be part of a cohesive team with opportunity to build a successful career with global potential, and you will have the opportunity to engage in diverse and challenging work.  You will be responsible for coordinating all arrangements in regards to the organization of events and groups, and assisting the Sales Managers with site inspections, proposals and administrative tasks of the department.

Responsibilities will include working in synergy with the Catering Manager and Sales Managers whom are responsible for the group, events and transient bookings and ensuring to update them regarding any changes that have occurred in bookings, collaborate with appropriate departments in respect of the rooming lists, special arrangements, F&B requirements, transfer and transport and for account and billing instructions, liaising with external providers, verifying prior to arrival that all departments have the most updated information for the group and event requirements, conducting tours of the property with potential clients and assisting the Sales Managers with Fam Trip arrangements and Travel Advisor experience stays, attending events to check and ensure impeccable event execution, and assist on special projects.

Our Ideal Events and Sales Coordinator candidate will have:

A minimum of 2 years of luxury hotel sales experience or 2 to 3 years of luxury operational hotel experience, the ability to think out of the box and be flexible and adaptable to last minute changes.  You should have proficiency in MS Office, excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, an eye for detail, curiosity and a creative flair; bringing your personal touch and energy to our hotel! 

All applicants must possess the legal right to work in Italy and have fluency in English and Italian.
