Marriott Theatre presents musicals using live orchestras. Each orchestra pit may consist of anywhere from 8 - 12 orchestra members. All orchestra members must belong to the Musicians Union. The orchestra pit for TYA (Theatre for Young Audiences) generally has three musicians. Each production is orchestrated for different types of instruments. The contractor hires each musician based on the requirements of the orchestrations. Some musicians will play more than one instrument during a specific show.
