Job description

Specific duties:
• To be responsible for the execution of their duties to maximise operational efficiency.
• To be responsible for developing and promoting sales initiatives and maximising sales opportunities for the whole hotel.
• To have a complete knowledge of the hotel and the product and services it offers.
• To source new business opportunities to maximise revenues through research, telesales, company visits, site inspections, educational.
• To work closely with the hotel team.
• To maintain and strengthen both the relationship and annual revenues with an existing account base through extensive account penetration.
• To conduct hotel presentations to Conference and Incentive Agents, corporate companies, diplomatic embassies, etc…
• To conduct Site Inspections and Familiarisation trips.
• To generate business from all feeder markets, from tradeshows, exhibitions and undertake business development trips.
• To submit monthly Sales Activity Reports.
• To negotiate and administer all account sales contracts, and to record and monitor room night targets for all of these accounts.
• To liaise with the Reservation Department to ensure all relevant client rates are loaded correctly.
• To create and distribute mail outs, fax shots and email blasts to communicate promotions and offers for room nights, etc.
• To liaise with all departments about client and guest feedback on the products and services
• To monitor competitor activities on a regular basis, to ensure regular competitor rate analyses, and regular site visits to competitors and new hotels are undertaken.
• To represent Gran Hotel Son Net at relevant industry networking events.
• To ensure that all control procedures pertaining to the processing of revenue are adhered to at all times, and any discrepancies are reported to the Hotel Manager immediately.
• To maintain and promote communication in social media networks.

Requirements

Fluidez en idiomas, con mínimo español, inglés, alemán.
Experiencia en el sector y particularmente dentro del departamento de ventas.

Gran Hotel Son Net

Mallorca's finest boutique hotel - The Son Net Estate dates to 1672, with its original well and patio, set against the rugged Serra de Tramuntana Mountains (now declared a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site). The luxury hotel Son Net was opened in 1998.

The building materials include stone, wood, and traditional tiles. The traditional stucco walls give the sensation of an authentic Mallorcan home and the traditional “Tela de Lenguas” fabric, also made on the island, characterise the public spaces.

Art is one of the main features of the hotel, displaying a prominent collection of modern paintings and original works from artists such as Marc Chagall, Frank Stella, David Hockney and others.
