JOB DESCRIPTION

Le Grand Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, a Four Seasons Hotel, is looking for its People & Culture Manager.




Reporting to the Business & Administration Director, with your team you are in charge of the following main areas:





  • Recruitment: with over 200 seasonal staff to recruit, you and your Learning & Recruitment Manager are in charge of coordinating any recruitment for either permanent or temporary contracts in coordination with the various hotel departments. You also liaise with the Unemployment Office, with any recruitment companies as necessary. You participate to the specialized employment fairs in the region. You coordinate a minimum of 2 mass recruitment days before each season and you are in charge to communicate with the departments and all candidates, for any position required in the organization, following the structure recommended by the group Four Seasons.
  • Learning: with your Learning and Recruitment Manager, you are in charge of implementing and follow up on the annual Training program for the hotel. This program includes the Core Four Seasons Group Learning programs as well as specific operational programs as per the departmental needs. You are also ensuring that legally mandatory Health & Safety programs are done and you will coordinate with any managers about targeted individual development plans.
  • People Management: you are making sure the annual Great Place to Work staff survey is completed and that actions plan are implemented accordingly. You participate to the monthly meetings with the Workers Council. You provide guidance, coaching and counsel to both employees and managers with objectivity and impartiality. You champion the employee experience through the organization of activities, communication tools and programming, encouraging social events. You also monitor employee performance by embracing the Four Seasons group culture and you address any recommendations to ensure the staff attitude and performance is at expected level.
  • Administration of the Hotel employees: employment contracts, payroll control with an outside payroll firm, relations with the Social Security entities, terminations, promotions, transfers, vacation leaves coordination, leave of absence, follow up on sick leaves, disciplinary actions etc. You will also coordinate the Health programs in conjunction with the Hotel Doctor. You work closely with the Hotel legal advisor on all aspects of legal matters.
  • You meet as often as needed with the Planning Committee of the Hotel and you are an active member of the CODIR (“Comité de Direction”).

PROFILE
You must:

  • Have worked in France and are experienced with French labor legislation.
  • Speak French fluently and have an EU passport. Fluent English is required.
  • Have worked for a deluxe International Hotel Brand with a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in People & Culture at a similar responsibility level.

Welcome to the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, A Four Seasons Hotel. This legendary destination on the Côte d’Azur is truly a paradise on earth, the epitome of French Riviera glamour and, as of May 8, 2015, world-renowned Four Seasons service.

Originally opened in 1908, this magnificent white building sits at the tip of the peninsula of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat jutting into the Mediterranean about half way between Nice and Monaco. The Grand-Hôtel has long been a favourite retreat among royalty, dignitaries and celebrities – from Winston Churchill, Charlie Chaplin and Picasso to Frank Sinatra, Elizabeth Taylor and Paul McCartney.

Encompassing three buildings – the original 1908 Palace, the contemporary Residence and the singular Villa Rose-Pierre – the Grand-Hôtel presides over 7 hectares (17 acres) of lush grounds including gardens, pools and tennis courts, with the Mediterranean Sea at its feet.

Located just 30 minutes’ drive from Nice (40 minutes from Nice Côte d’Azur International airport) near the tiny seaside village of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat is also just 25 minutes’ drive from Monaco, and 50 from Cannes. Flights between Nice and Paris are less than 90 minutes, suggesting a delightful itinerary that includes another legendary establishment, Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris.
