The Cluster Director of Digital Marketing (Chengdu,Chongqing,Guiyang) is responsible for the strategy and execution of digital marketing and e-Commerce activity for the region. This position will support regional Hyatt visibility by developing digital marketing and e-Commerce programs, with the primary goal being increased conversions and revenue on Hyatt.com as well as the Hyatt App in China. Digital marketing efforts will include: search engine marketing (including PPC and SEO), mobile marketing, display advertising, social media advertising, email marketing, marketing via corporate channels and assisting with strategic digital content/social media content planning. This position will also oversee e-Commerce activity including the regional strategic oversight of hotel websites, apps and mini-sites (including Simplified Chinese) where applicable. 
Due to the unique nature of digital platforms in China, this role will also be required to support the strategy of 3rd party websites, apps and e-Commerce channels which Chinese customers are utilizing to research and book travel.

The digital director of (Chengdu,Chongqing,Guiyang) is required to be a thought leader, regularly reviewing new opportunities which can take Hyatt to the next level with our online efforts in the region.  This should involve benchmarking ourselves not only against direct competitors, but also reviewing the efforts of 3rd parties (i.e. Ctrip) and brands across other industries in China (fashion, retail, automotive, etc)


Qualifications
  • Strong SEM experience – specifically paid search is required, working knowledge of SEO preferred

  • Exhibit knowledge of CPA, CPC, CPM, e-mail buys, paid search, mobile and other conventional and            unconventional internet advertising/acquisition models

  • Strong Social, Mobile marketing experience

  • Extensive experience with display advertising and programmatic buying

  • Multi-channel (online and offline) marketing understanding a plus

  • Working knowledge of web site content management system a plus

  • Email marketing experience involving campaign management a plus

  • Website development/related project management experience a plus (including managing agency for these projects)

  • Strong oral, written communication and presentation skills  – must communicate effectively with all levels of the organization (hotels, regional leadership, corporate leadership, owners)

  • Strong project/program/campaign management skills

  • People management and development – The Director of Digital Marketing will indirectly manage cluster managers in China and guide other hotel team members responsible for digital activities.  This person needs to be able to build a vibrant and supportive community of Hyatt hotel digital marketers.

  • A minimum of 8 years of overall work experience in digital marketing, including at least 3 years at manager level (preferably with direct report responsibilities)

  • Previous agency work experience or strong client side experience working with agency highly preferred

  • Experience at a multi-national company working with multiple markets and time zones highly preferred

  • Previous experience as marketing/strategy analyst or consultant a plus

  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook

  • Expert user of Omniture, Google analytics and other web analytics tools

  • Experience working with bid management software and DoubleClick/DFA (a plus)

  • Web and application programming experience preferred

  • Native level fluency in Mandarin

  • Fluent in spoken and written English

  • Bachelor’s degree required (in marketing or business management preferred)

  • Master degree is an advantage
