Job Summary
Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort, is seeking a Food Safety/Stewarding Manager to assure the hotel''s compliance with all Hawaii Board of Health & Sanitation Department regulations and Hilton Food Safety standards.
What will I be doing?
- Ensure permitted areas and employees meet both State and corporate department requirements on a daily basis concerning sanitation and personal hygiene standards
- Implement, oversee, and follow up on all sanitation standards and procedures
- Maintain all relevant certifications, such as ServSafe Food Safety Manager, Food Safety Professional, and ANSA, for all employees
- Conduct internal health inspections of all permitted facilities including warehouse facilities and ensure that daily kitchen logs are recorded
- Conduct and chair the FSS Monthly Meeting
- Liaise with external agencies (laboratories, government bureaus, health practitioners, etc.) on sanitary related matters
- 2 years of experience in the Food Safety/Sanitation field required, including 1 years of experience as a Hygiene Manager at a hotel or other large complex
- ANSI/ServSafe CPFM certifications and Hawaii Liquor Card required
- Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards certifications
- Ability to manage multi-faceted projects and work successfully under deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on a team
- Demonstrated ability to successfully train and coach team members
- Good computer skills, with the ability to learn new software as needed
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
