BACKGROUND

HR tertiary qualifications
Must have full and clean international driver’s license 
First Aid certification
Learning & Development qualifications highly regarded 
Min 3 years’ HR Officer / Assistant Manager within hospitality
Demonstrated knowledge of Thiqah and KSA Labor Law 
A flexible approach towards working hours is required. 
Must have fluent English communication skills and have numerical literacy
Fluency in Arabic would be preferred but not essential
Document, policy and process creation.
Staff welfare, well-being and recruitment experience highly regarded
Experience with managing large diverse teams preferred


ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Assistant Staff Manager is a leader in their own right, and plays a major role in the HR / Staff Management leadership and department branches.



Assisting the Staff Manager with managing the needs of the team to include provisions, well-being, meals, uniform, logistics, accommodations and induction, you are dedicated to ensure that the team are inspired by your positive attitude, initiative, insight and loyalty to great service.



You are developing the team whilst contributing to your own progress in the HR Management field. You are across the generalist aspects of HR, a trusted ear, a respected leader and a coordinator of the staff management team’s rosters and movements.



You are communicating frequently with staff and senior management and external partners in a professional and respectful manner and play an important role in addressing special requests or problems.



Operations

Maintain and project professional appearance as it relates to job performance. 
Assisting the Staff Manager with managing the needs of the team to include provisions, well-being, meals, uniform, logistics, accommodations and induction. 
Ensuring that all staff areas and accommodations are clean and in a perfect condition by performing regular inspections. 
Assisting in the managing of the Staff Management department, ensuring the team are dedicated to servicing the staff. 
Acting as a point of contact and as an emergency contact for the staff. 
Responsible for overall well-being of the staff in both a work and personal capacity. 
Management of conflict and crises related to staff as they arise. 
Coordinating Drivers schedule, bus timetables and airport runs. 
Dealing with and resolution of staff complaints. 
Updating the WhatsApp Staff Notice Board with information for the staff members. 
Staff Warning’s, Harassment Cases, Incident Reporting, Staff Promotions, Salary Increases, Department Transfers, End of Service assistance, Terminations, Resignations.
Staff management assistance, staff requests or issues, staff activities, hotel operation related activities.
General administrative tasks for the HR department.  
Managing overall Internal logistics as they arise. 
Managing the Weekly Management Report, and other reports as necessary.
Participation in meetings, Op’s meetings, Daily and Weekly HOD meetings, Staff meetings.
Bamboo HR program implementation
Production and delivery of employee handbook and policies.
Managing performance disciplinary meetings.
Managing the Compound Cleaners routine and schedule. 
Application and management of Property ID Passes and keeping track of validity. 
Creation and delivery of L&D across the property, working with HODs and training managers where necessary.
Arranging and overseeing staff medicals and medical re-testing. 
Overseeing health medical card insurance applications and keeping track of validity.  
Updating of staff access list. 
Work and liaise with other members of the department and the overall Project to support and assistance where required on an adhoc basis.
Attend to all complaints, inquiries and requests promptly referring to Head Warden if unable to assist
Additional duties as required on the request and direction of the Staff Manager.


People

Follow all procedures implemented by HR
Develop and maintain cohesive working relationships within immediate team, wider hotel team and build and maintain rapport with partnering in-house teams
Effectively communicate within the department, Staff Management team and internal departments ensuring open communication with department heads
Actively participate in continuous individual training and upskilling of team, provided by the company
Assist the management and other personnel in such other matters as may be reasonably required.
Attend and participate in daily briefings, meetings, and training sessions as scheduled.

Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly.
Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers.
Demonstrate a sound awareness Health and Safety Guidelines, policies and procedures and ensure procedures are upheld across the department.
The Assistant Staff Manager may be required from time to time to assist with other duties within their reasonable capabilities.
As with all members of staff, the Assistant Staff Manager is always on call in times of emergency or severe weather.
