Job Summary

Our Corporate Strategy team supports high-impact projects across all aspects of the business. The team drives strategic insight through customer research, customer experience analysis and thought leadership. Hilton Strategy partners with leaders across Hilton to improve operational performance, understand competitive positioning, develop new product innovation, and implement growth strategies.


What will I be doing?

The Corporate Strategy team leads short- and long-term initiatives that positively impact shareholder value. The team contributes to the identification, evaluation, and execution of growth and is responsible for developing strategic frameworks to assess potential opportunities, calculating synergies, conducting due diligence on potential partners and/or targets, and providing recommendations to senior leaders. This team facilitates the strategic planning process, priority setting and works closely with Senior Leadership to develop corporate wide and function-specific strategies. There is extensive cross-functional collaboration with a variety of business units across the company. Other key priorities are listed below:
  • Establish strategic frameworks, business cases, and evaluation criteria to assess corporate initiatives, growth opportunities, and improved efficiencies
  • Direct cross-functional enterprise-wide teams or partner with various departments to complete strategic projects resulting in recommendations to senior management
  • Work with senior management with planning, developing, and executing shorter term and long-range goals
  • Evaluate internal capabilities versus external opportunities and support the decisions to build, partner, or invest from a strategic, go-to-market and financial perspective
  • Support the Mergers and Acquisition (M&A) team by leading the strategic evaluation of opportunities and facilitating operational due diligence as necessary
  • Facilitate enterprise innovation by leading cross-functional alignment and discovery on next-generation solutions through design sprint facilitation or other innovative methodologies
  • Support the development of the organization''s key strategic priorities, strategic planning efforts and governance processes
  • Support the development of a global innovation methodology and processes that evaluate opportunities for business model innovation and drive achievement of company objectives and financial results
  • Lead the research and analysis on competitors and best in class organizations, as well as global, business, and hospitality trends
  • Lead detailed qualitative and quantitative analysis that incorporates market dynamics, business model comparisons, value proposition relevance, strategic fit, and financial health
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with senior leaders across the organization in order to understand their business objectives and strategies and align innovation and development objectives
  • Provide support to the Senior Director of Corporate Strategy and conduct special projects, as required
  • Motivated leader who is comfortable dealing with ambiguity and working with cross functional teams
  • Excellent organizational skills and project management skills, including proven ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects and activities and competing priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate effectively and succinctly with a diverse range of constituents, both written and verbally, and with all levels of an organization

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • BA/BS Bachelor''s Degree
  • Five (5) years of overall relevant work experience
  • Five (5) years of experience working in corporate strategy, consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate development or innovation
  • Two (2) years of managerial experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of drivers of profitability and ROI
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ideation and concept development processes
  • Ability to travel as required

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • MA/MS Master''s Degree in Business Administration from a top-tier business school
  • Seven (7) years of professional experience
  • Three (3) years of managerial experience
  • Experience in a top three (3) Consulting firm (Bain, BCG, McKinsey or comparable firm)
  • Hospitality or travel industry experience
  • Experience in an innovation hub environment or with an innovation consultancy
  • Experience in deal advisory or transaction structuring and execution
